Cool Blue Future i Sverige
Centrum för hav och samhälle är en del av Göteborgs universitet som verkar för att få forskare från olika vetenskapliga områden att samarbeta kring viktiga havsfrågor.
Centrumet bildades 2015 och fungerar som ett nav för all havsrelaterad forskning och kommunikation vid universitetet. En viktig uppgift är också att samverka med övriga samhället för att tillsammans hitta lösningar för framtidens hav. Idag är över 250 forskare knutna till centrumet, inom allt från marinbiologi till juridik och företagsekonomi. Många av dem arbetar med frågor kring hållbar sjömat, vattenbruk och framtidens mat från havet.
Centrum för hav och samhälle driver bland annat projekt om marina kolonilotter och småskalig odling av alger och musslor. Här samarbetar universitetet med såväl andra myndigheter och organisationer som med näringslivet på regional, nationell och internationell nivå.

Facilitators in other countries
Cool Blue Future is based on a network of country facilitators across Northern Europe working individually and together to pave the way for regenerative ocean cultivation based on the principles outlined in the Manifesto for regenerative ocean farming.
The country facilitators are a diverse bunch, but they each serve as contact points for things related to regenerative ocean cultivation in their respective countries by supporting for example:
- The formation of blue community gardens
- The transition of fishers to regenerative ocean farming
- New value chains based on regenerative crops
- Educational activities related to regenerative ocean farming
- Events and other outreach activities
- Environmental assessments
- Networks of relevant stakeholders
