Cool Blue Future Suomessa
Aktion Österbotten r.f. fungerar som utvecklingsmotor för organisationer, föreningar och företag i Österbotten, Finland. Som lokal aktionsgrupp för både landsbygd (LAG) och fiske (FLAG) vill vi skapa hållbara och livskraftiga lokalsamhällen samt fungera som en brobyggare; mellan stad och landsbygd, över språk- och kulturgränser, samt till andra regioner.
Inom den blåa sektorn består verksamheten av att aktivera till utveckling samt bevilja projektfinansiering för den lokala fiskerisektorn, vattenbruket och miljöåtgärder inom ramarna för Fiskeleader Kustaktionsgruppen. Aktion fungerar även som administratör för det nationella innovationsprogrammet Blue Products 3.0 samt fungerar som kontaktorganisation i Finland och samarbetspart i projekten Cool Blue Nordic (Horizon) samt Cool Blue Baltic (EMFAF).
Facilitators in other countries
Cool Blue Future is based on a network of country facilitators across Northern Europe working individually and together to pave the way for regenerative ocean cultivation based on the principles outlined in the Manifesto for regenerative ocean farming.
The country facilitators are a diverse bunch, but they each serve as contact points for things related to regenerative ocean cultivation in their respective countries by supporting for example:
- The formation of blue community gardens
- The transition of fishers to regenerative ocean farming
- New value chains based on regenerative crops
- Educational activities related to regenerative ocean farming
- Events and other outreach activities
- Environmental assessments
- Networks of relevant stakeholders
